What if Hypnosis is against my religious views?

Hypnosis has nothing to do with religion.

It is a brain wave state you go into before you go to sleep each night, when you wake up, when you have a shower, bath or go for a walk, in nature, floating in water etc.

(its like saying what if I don’t want to stare, you cannot help it you do it no and then throughout the day)

Think about all the times in your life you have had your BIGGEST life changing thoughts. You will notice it was never behind a desk at work it was when you accessed this state…. That is Hypnosis.

What if I don’t want to be Hypnotised?

To access your subconscious you do not have to be Hypnotised. The definition of Hypnois is focused attention to the exclusion of nothing else. You can acess this state through the type of language used which is called “Neuro Linguistic Programming”.

Can I be hypnotised?

Yes- Hypnosis is a brain wave state called Alpha or Theta state. In this state your subconscious mind is dominant. 

Have you ever driven a car home and thought “I cant remember the last 2 suburbs I drove through but now I am home.” That is hypnosis- You were not consciously driving the car, your subconscious was. (This is also evidence that through repetition you can consciously train your subconscious)

How many sessions will I need to see changes?

The number of sessions varies from person to person. Some clients see significant changes in just a few sessions, while others may require more time. We continually assess your progress and adjust as needed to ensure the most effective path for you.

What should I expect in my first NLP session?

In your first session, we focus on understanding your overall goals and challenges. It's a chance for us to get to know each other and for you to feel comfortable with the process. We'll introduce some foundational NLP concepts and start mapping out your personalised journey.

Can NLP help with long-standing issues, or is it more for recent challenges?

NLP is versatile and effective for both long-standing issues and any more recent challenges you may be facing. Our techniques are designed to address the root cause of your concerns, whether they've been part of your life for years or are new developments.

How long does a typical NLP session last?

Each NLP session at Nat Lynn Therapy is uniquely tailored to your needs, but generally, a session lasts around 60 to 90 minutes. This duration allows us to dive deep into various NLP techniques and ensures we're making meaningful progress.

What can hypnosis help with?

Hypnosis can help you with so many areas from a therapeutic context. Clinical hypnotherapy can help with areas such as self esteem and self confidence, release stuck emotions, and can help you change negative beliefs in a gentle and effective way within a private and soothing environment.

There’s no commitment either, just come along to one session, in person or online, and decide if you like it. It's an easily accessible hypnotherapy, counselling and anxiety clinic for most Brisbane suburbs, and for most clients it's close to their home or work. However, as I also offer virtual counselling (online counselling services) via video call, it doesn't matter wherever you are in Brisbane - I can provide you with anxiety therapy and hypnosis from the comfort of your own home via private, secure online sessions.

What is hypnotherapy?

At its heart, hypnotherapy is a collaborative therapeutic approach that employs focused relaxation to access the subconscious mind. During a clinical hypnosis session (otherwise known as a hypnotherapy session), a trained therapist guides you into a deeply relaxed state, which some describe as a trance-like state, although you remain conscious and in control throughout.

Who do you work with?

We work with children 6 years+, teenagers and adults. We specialise in all issues that are unconscious (they have no control over their thoughts, actions, behaviours. ) We do not work with  couples,  families, drug addictions.

How long is a therapy session at your Brisbane hypnosis clinic?

Our sessions are designed for rapid transformation therefore they are 1.5 hours in length so you need less amount of appointments to get lasting results

Subsequent sessions are thoughtfully scheduled for sixty to ninety minutes, striking the perfect balance between thoroughness and efficiency.

Understanding that each journey is distinct, we provide a personalised estimate of the number of sessions likely to best serve your individual situation. Typically, our clients experience the transformation they seek within 3 to 4 sessions.

Do you accept Mental Health Care Plans?

Unfortunately, hypnotherapist and counsellors are not eligible for Medicare rebates, so we don’t take Mental Health Care Plans from your GP. You don’t need a GP referral and can access sessions simply by booking your session on this website.

How can clinical hypnotherapy and counselling help me?

Nat Lynn provides neutral and non-judgmental support, guiding you through gentle evidence-based strategies. Sometimes having a space to be heard without expectations of someone who is separate from friends or family can really help and this is our counselling side of our practice. Other times talking about issues that are unconscious thoughts or behaviours won’t change a thing and this is when hypnotherapy and NLP comes into play and we are able to make changes at the core of the problem.

What do I expect from the moment I ring and book a session?

We will be answering any of your questions you have for us and in return asking you a few questions so that we can give you an estimate of how many sessions are needed and help you to get clarity on your desired outcome.

We will then send you a small questionnaire before the session so that we can structure a unique session that is designed for your particular challenge.

What do I need to bring to our first appointment?

You do not need to bring anything with you but what we do ask is if you can set an intention for what you would like to achieve out of the session so that the pathways are open for change.

You are more than welcome to arrive early and grab a coffee or tea on us at Hawthorne Coffee (the coffee shop next door) that will help you relax and get clear on what your desired results are.

How many appointments do I need to book?

The amount of sessions booked depends on person to person and how many issues we are working with, it usually takes 1- 4 sessions.

We have no intention for you to be a client for months on end and our aim is to find the source of the issue, set new intentions and lock them in at an unconscious level in the shortest time possible.

Nat Lynn Mind Therapy ensures everyone walks away from the first session with some form of relief. Many clients have come in after being in therapy for years and in a few sessions their anxiety, phobias or fears are gone and they are living their best life.

What can I expect when in Hypnosis?

You will Feel safe, secure and understood as our approach is calm and relaxed. Hypnosis is experienced differently depending on the person however you will always feel relaxed and at peace. Whatever your experience everyone can be hypnotised for the better and you can never be made to do something you don’t want to do. (i.e. the people who go on stage at a Hypnotherapy Show and cluck like a chicken are the ones who put up their hand to participate on stage).

You are in control of the session so if you approach the session believing nothing will change, then nothing will, you will prove yourself right every time. However if you set an intention for what you would like out of the session than the pathways are open for this to be achieved.

In the past transformational hypnotherapy was just for elite athletes, business professionals and world leaders to tap into the power of the unconsious but our processes are available to everyone so that they can remove their blocks and create the life they want.

Our approach is to get you back in control of your life so that you are free from what was holding you back and can be your best self in as minimum time frame as possible.

What is NLP?

NLP is the study of how our thoughts affect our behaviours and can be used in many different areas of life. Nat Lynn Mind Therapy uses NLP to reprogram unconscious thoughts and behaviours that are holding you back from living your best life. It does this through looking at the way your brain interprets signals it receives and changes the thoughts and reactions that are not serving you.

By examining how your brain process information, NLP techniques help you look at your thoughts, feelings and emotions as things you can control, rather than things that happen to you or have to learn to manage.

NLP changes the way the information has been processed and removes the patterns that do not serve you.

By changing the lens through which you interpret that sensory experience you will change the way you view and interact with the world, opening up possibilities you didn’t realise were in front of you.

Can I bring a support partner?

Yes, You are always in control in our sessions and can bring someone for support. Teenagers often are more open when a parent is not present during the session so occasionally we may ask you have a coffee on us at Hawthorne Coffee next door while we continue the session.

Is there parking onsite?

Yes, there is parking on Hawthorne Road and Monmouth Street.

Can I contact you after hours?
